things that need to be done over the break – IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!

you need to have some fun times in the next couple of weeks but you also need to do some work

there are a number of deadlines you need to make for the first week back – you need to read the module study guides too to really make sense of these

year one

1. I will need you to have completed files that show you can do as many of the director competencies as possible – see the msg and be ready to give an outline properly thought out for a director project you will carry out in the last part of the semester – some visuals and flow charts will help you and me with this – I will need to collect these in on the wednesday session (23rd)
2. you also should be well on the way to a properly thought through and storyboarded plan for the ass 2 of nicks module – I will need you to give a short presentation of your concept with some visuals for this also on the 23rd – it is acceptable to use the same director piece for both if you think it is appropriate

year two

1. whimpy fully rigged with controllers ready to animate
2. whimpy animated in the environment provided in folder 126 ( no more than 30 secs – simpler is often better look at the examples in folder 31)
3. your own character drawn in cruciform pose – 2 different please – and lots of other poses will help too – this is pencil/pen on paper – look around for inspiration – again simpler will probably be better, easier to model and animate
4. take two animation principles from folder 125 and be ready to do a 5 minute presentation on these and their importance using the pixar shorts to demonstrate examples (see folder 31)
5. virtual space concept – properly researched and ready to start – visuals and prototypes – see the msg assignment 1

year three

1. website assignment ass 1 presentation will happen on tuesday 22nd – read the msg
