Using a mixture of industrial, mechanical and organic images and drawing on films such as Steamboy, The City of Lost Children, Casshern & Wild Wild West, create a steampunk inspired insect in Photoshop. Also see writers H. G. Wells and Jules Vern where the origins of the tangential technological advancements of the Victorian era started.
First collate and create a mood board outlining the mechanical objects you wish to use, then design
a 2D steampunk insect to be complete by the end of todays session, 5pm.
Possible images to structurally cannibalize for this exercies are in 000_c4d_resource – mechanical reference/ helicopter museum/ brewery/ shivering sands folders. Also folder 035_LSDS has a steam-punk artwork folder for reference.
