I love Coda – writing code can be so tedious but coda made it efficient and easy to understand but there hasn’t been a major upgrade for a while and other software has caught up and added other useful features – code folding and css3 in particular
espresso by macrabbit is great for instance but still the ease of use of coda made me stick with it and only step out for specific tasks
but panic have been busy and on thursday is launching coda 2 and it looks like an enormous leap forwards – not just for web authoring but quite possibly for interface design on the mac generally – check those tabs and that drop down plus code folding and (hopefully) css3 properties and sql editing gui and more
the design hints at lessons being learned on iPad app design and it’s no surprise therefore that there is also a new app for iPad – diet coda coming too
yes – proper web authoring and tinkering from the iPad
both half price on launch day (thursday)

For Windows saps, Sublime Text 2 is nice (and free), though it lacks some of the features of CODA.
